Terps Hoops Finish 6th In Puerto Rico

Maryland basketball finished up play in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off, losing the 5th place game to Iona 89-63. Maryland Head Coach Mark Turgeon; "First of all, Iona is a great team and I think potentially they are a Top-25 team. With that said, we didn't play well. We did not execute our offense and we did not rebound and had too many fouls and turnovers. To me, the players have to care more than they are now. I think there is immaturity and we need confidence and the willingness to be good. It's hard to be good. It's easy to not be good."

The Terps return to action Friday night hosting Florida Gulf Coast at the Comcast Center.

The opposition ramps up in Maryland's following two contests facing Illinois on November 29th  in the Big Ten/ACC challenge in College Park, then the BB&T Classic against Notre Dame on December 4th at the Verizon Center.
