Fantasy Pulse: Week 5 Extra Point
Seattle Seahawks 16, Carolina Panthers 12
Seahawks- This was a rough offensive game by two lackluster offenses. RB Marshawn Lynch is a RB1 and the only Seahawk you should be starting. WR Golden Tate caught another TD. He's definitely worth picking up in deeper leagues.
Panthers- The Panthers are an offensive mess. QB Cam Newton continues to struggle with his Sophomore slump. WR Steve Smith's value is plummeting based on Newton's inefficiency. And their once dominant running game has been completely useless. Leave your Panthers on the bench until further notice.
Chicago Bears 41, Jacksonville Jaguars 3
Bears- RB Matt Forte is healthy and getting the majority of the carries (Forte had 22 carries to Michael Bush's 4). Bush certainly still has value, but he's more of a borderline flex play at this point.
Jaguars- The Jags are a one trick fantasy pony. RB Maurice Jones-Drew remains the only Jag that should be in your weekly lineup. WR Justin Blackmon is showing signs of life (8 targets, 3 receptions for 40 yards), but he still should only be owned in deeper leagues.

Minnesota Vikings 30, Tennessee Titans 7
Titans- The Titans have two valuable fantasy commodities right now; WR Kendall Wright and TE Jared Cook. WR Nate Washington should definitely be on your roster, but Wright has emerged as a more reliable WR3 option (with a lot of extra value in PPR leagues). Cook isn't an every week fantasy TE, but he's an excellent bye week filler.
Vikings- RB Adrian Peterson, WR Percy Harvin and TE Kyle Rudolph should be in your lineup every week. QB Christian Ponder continues to be an excellent backup option.
New England Patriots 31, Denver Broncos 21
Broncos- QB Peyton Manning has made the Broncos into a very favorable fantasy team. The Denver TE situation is quite intriguing. Jacob Tamme is a decent backup option in PPR leagues. While Joel Dreessen is a quality backup option in standard leagues (3 striaght games with a TD).
Patriots- RB Stevan Ridley continues to produce. However, with Brandon Bolden, Danny Woodhead and Shane Vereen, Ridley can't afford to keep fumbling. I wouldn't fret though, Ridley has only had one off game and is getting plenty of goal line looks. Ridley is becoming a borderline RB1.
San Francisco 49ers 45, Buffalo Bills 3
Bills- The Bills had a rough showing in this one. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick put up a disappointing effort, but remains a high quality bye week filler. RBs Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller also let fantasy owners down. The Cardinals aren't the most friendly matchup, but they should both have better games this week.
49ers- WR Michael Crabtree finally caught a TD. Crabtree has only had one game this season with less than 6 receptions and is becoming a WR2 in PPR leagues.
New Orleans Saints 31, San Diego Chargers 24
Chargers- There should be no questions about RB Ryan Mathews (that is until he gets injured). Mathews had a big game (139 total yards and a TD) and is an unquestioned RB1. Mathews will only be given more touches at this point, so look for him to be one of the top backs in the league while he remains healthy.
Saints- The Saints offense is back. Keep an eye on TE Jimmy Graham. Graham sprained his ankle, but with the Saints having a bye, he'll have an extra week to get healthy.
Houston Texans 23, New York Jets 17
Texans- Is it time to worry about WR Andre Johnson? After his one catch Monday night performance, many owners will be tempted to trade the struggling Johnson. Looking at the numbers, Andre 3000 only has one game with more than 3 receptions and only one 100 yard game. I'm not buying into his demise and I'd do everything I could to buy low on Johnson. The Texans are one of the best offensive teams in the league, and like all great offensive teams, they go through cycles. I have a strong feeling that Johnson will have a highly productive rest of the season.
Jets- I'm not buying into WR Jeremy Kerley (15 receptions for 291 yards and 2 scores on the season) just yet. He's certainly worthy of a roster spot in deeper leagues, but I wouldn't be comfortable starting him. You're much better off steering clear of all Jets.
