By far, the best pitching prospect, the next Jordan Zimmermannesque type pitcher in the system is Daniel Rosenbaum at AA Harrisburg.  He has been flying through the minor league system each season, dominating at each level.   Rosenbaum as selected in the 22nd round of the 2009 MLB Draft.   In 11 game sin 2009, Rosenbaum posted a 4-1 record with a 1.95 ERA in rookie leagues.   In 2010, Rosenbaum combined a season between low and high A ball, posting a 5-7 record with  a 2.25 ERA and recording 115 strikeouts in 144 innings.  Last season Rosenbaum split the season between A and AA and posted a 9-6 record with a 2.52 ERA.  So far this season, Rosenbaum has made 4 starts and is 3-0 with a 0.94 ERA with 18 strikeouts to just 2 walks.

Also, keep an eye on a trio of infielders.  When they were drafted, we knew they were players to watch, now we know they are.   All are high draft picks.  2B Jeff Kobernus was selected int he 2nd round of the 2009 MLB Draft.  He was moved to AA Harrisburg this season.  He has great speed.  Kobernus is batting .356 with is 8th in the Eastern League.  He has scored 15 runs (2nd in the EL) and leads the league with 16 stolen bases.  SS Jason Martinson was selected in the 5th round of the 2010 MLB Draft.  Martinson is batting .312 and has scored 29 runs which leads the Nats organization and the South Atlantic League.  Martinson has knocked in 23 runs and is 18th overall in slugging with a .506 percentage.  Matthew Skole was the 5th round pick of last years draft.  He is batting .371 in Hagerstown, 4th in the league and first in the Nats organization.  Skole has scored 14 runs and drive in 27, which is first in the South Atlantic.  He is 4th overall in slugging with a percentage of .645.
