Caps acquire DJ King
The Washington Capitals have gained a bit of toughness today. The Caps acquired tough guy, enforcer DJ King from the St. Louis Blues for prospect Stefan Della Rovere.
King was selected in the 6th round of the 2002 NHL draft by the Blues. King has been in the NHL since the 2007-08 season, and after playing in 61 games that season, he has managed just 13 since then because of various injuries. King dislocated his shoulder in the 2008-09 opener, and managed only 12 games last season due to a broken finger. He has amassed 185 penalty minutes along with 4 goals and 5 assists over 101 NHL games.
