Vokoun to start, Holtby recalled

The Washington Capitals have confirmed that goalie Braden Holtby has been recalled to Washington.  Michal Neuvirth was held out of practice Wednesday because of a lower body injury.  He is a no go tonight.

Head coach Bruce Boudreau also confirmed that Tomas Vokoun will make his second consecutive start.  Vokoun's first start in the Caps 6-5 OT defeat of Tampa Bay was one Vokoun would like to forget.  Overall, Vokoun stopped just 23 of 28 shots.  However, Vokoun, despite the performance in which Vokoun admitted he was very, very, very disappointed, Vokoun rose to the occasion and made some very impressive saves in overtime and stopped both Tampa Bay shots on the shootout to preserve the win.

Washington renewes its rivalry tonight with arch rival Pittsburgh.  Washington has started off the season with a 2-0 start, both wins coming in overtime.  Pittsburgh is 3-0-1.
