Capitals sign Brooks Laich to 6-year deal
The Washington Capitals re-signed forward Brooks Laich to a 6-year $27 million contract, ensuring one of the team's top scorers remains a part of the franchise's ongoing crusade to bring a Stanley Cup championship to the District.
In addition to his 7 points in this past season's playoffs, Laich was fourth on the team in points [48], third in assists [32] and fifth in goals [16]. Laich was also a reliable contributor for the Capitals last season, playing in all 82 regular season games.
