What we learned at Youth Development Camp for the Washington Capitals . . .

1. Caps first rounder Evgeny Kuznetsov has a great personality and a pretty good stick to go with it.  Has he ever learned how to not smile>  Well, I guess, keep reading and watching.

2.  Joe Finley is BIG.  He can hurt.  He can hit.  He can fight! But, can he play at a high level?  Finley makes a push for Choclatetown.

3.  Marcus Johnanssan took decent steps toward a roster spot, and possibly the number two centerman.

4.  Braden Holtby has a temper when taunted, Kuznetsov got a lesson when taunting.

5.  That second round Russian, Staislav Galiev, he is pretty good too.

6.  Kuznetsov and Galiev appear to be preparing for secondary careers in teaching.

7.  Don’t forget about the other Russian too, Dmitri Orlov, who appeared to take some nice strides in development.  Orlov and Kuzentsov appear to be buddies.

8.  Anton Gustafsson started out developmental camp a bit slow, but seemed to pick up as the days passed.

9.  Caps 2009 third rounder Cody Eakin head back to junior hockey for his final season.  Unfortunately for the Caps, he is ready for much bigger things than Swift Current.

10.  And finally, we say Do svidaniya! to Chris Bourque.

11.
