The Washington Capitals are getting healthier. On offense. However, the table has turned on the blue line. Already missing the likes of Mike Green and Tom Poti, the Caps have now lost the defenseman acquired via trade to replace Green, Dennis Wideman. Wideman could be lost to the Caps for two weeks or more. Wideman took a hit against Carolina and injured his leg. He is currently in the hospital with leg hematoma. Not going to go through what that is here, but you can read about it here.
Additionally, the Caps now list John Erskine as day to day, injured in last nights win over Columbus.
In the realm of defensive injuries, the silver lining is that Mike Green has confirmed he no longer suffers from concussion symptoms. :
Michal Neuvirth has won THREE straight
John Carlson has a TWO game point streak
Brooks Laich has a TWO game point streak
