This early in the season, there is plenty of movement from last week in the NHL Power Poll Ranking.

01. Washington Capitals [7-2-0]: Two tough losses this week, but the Capitals remain on top. Big week ahead as a lot of questions need to be answered. (-)
02. Dallas Stars [8-3-0]: The Stars are surging, surprising absolutely everyone. Another pair of big wins this week. (+3)
03. Pittsburgh Penguins [8-3-2]: Have played more games than anyone, and have consequently picked up more points. Crosby is still out... (-)
04. Toronto Maple Leafs [7-2-1]: As per usual, the Maple Leafs have started very strong. Can they keep it up? (+4)
05. Chicago Blackhawks [6-2-2]: Are scoring a lot, but need to sort out the defense. (+4)
06. Los Angeles Kings [6-2-2]: Solid start for a team that believe they can go all the way. (-2)
07. San Jose Sharks [6-3-0]: Have had a tough schedule, but are on the rise. 3 and oh on the week. (+13)
08. Detroit Red Wings [5-4-0]: Need to break out of four game losing streak. (-6)
09. Edmonton Oilers [6-2-2]: Broke the Capitals' undefeated season. Enough said. (+9)
10. Buffalo Sabres [6-4-0]: Ryan Miller is getting little support from what should be a strong defense. (-2)
11. Philadelphia Flyers [6-4-1]: Keep your money in your pocket: goaltending has been a disaster. (-)
12. Florida Panthers [6-4-0]: Surprisingly strong through ten games... (+1)
13. Vancouver Canucks [5-5-1]: Have not been good enough to start the season, but beat the Capitals comfortably. (-1)
14. Colorado Avalanche [6-4-0]: Two losses this week. Caps fans hope they'll be plenty more. (-8)
15. Phoenix Coyotes [5-3-2]: Big improvement, but goaltending is still a problem. (+10)
16. Tampa Bay Lightning [5-4-2]: More goals given up than goals scored shouldn't be happening on a team with Steven Stamkos and Martin St Louis. (-1)
17. Ottawa Senators [6-5-0]: Great start, but it's a long year. Three win week. (+11)
18. Nashville Predators [5-4-1]: Goaltender Pekka Rinne is just about keeping them in the mix. (+4)
19. Anaheim Ducks [5-4-1]: Stars are not showing up. They are not scoring enough. (-9)
20. New Jersey Devils [4-4-1]: Devils really should be better. (-1)
21. Calgary Flames [4-4-1]: Big trades are just around the corner... (+6)
22. Minnesota Wild [4-3-3]: Won one, lost one in a quiet week. (-8)
23. New York Rangers [3-3-3]: Seven of nine games have been on the road. (-)
24. Carolina Hurricanes [4-4-3]: Inconsistency has been major problem so far. (-7)
25. St Louis Blues [5-5-0]: Could so, so easily be near the top of this list, but they aren't. (-9)
26. Montreal Canadiens [4-5-2]: The week's three game winning streak highlights the team's awful start. (-)
27. New York Islanders [3-4-2]: Goaltending has been stellar, but the Islanders are the only team yet to crack the 20-goal barrier. (-3)
