Washington Capitals select Filip Forsberg
The Washington Capitals have pulled off an absolute steal in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
An hour after acquiring Mike Ribeiro from the Dallas Stars, the Caps have drafted Swedish winger Filip Forsberg with the 11th overall pick.
Forsberg was ranked as the number two prospect heading into the draft by The Hockey News, the number three prospect by TSN, the second overall pick in my mock draft, and the top European skater by Central Scouting.
Forsberg dropped in the draft, until the Caps were able to take him with their first pick.
An incredible pick.
