Caps fall in opener 4-2 to Thrashers

New post for the third period.  Why?  Simple, first post was not going well for the Capitals and Wordpress acted up as well.  Caps trail the Thrashers 3-1, Thrashers have scored 3 unanswered goals.  Caps played a horrible flat second period.  Caps have been out shot in this game 22-15.  Caps are 0-1 on the power play and are 3 for 3 on the penalty kill.

Big question for the Caps fans, what Caps team will come out in the third period?

3rd PERIOD  CAPS 2  Thrashers 4

Caps had a power play chance and end with an 0-2 on the PP.  Mike Knuble (1) takes a nifty pass from Alex Ovechkin to decrease the Thrasher lead to 3-2.  Caps back in this thing.  Caps go to the power play.  Lets go Caps.  Caps now 0-3 on the power play.  5 minutes to go, Caps trail 3-2.  Thrashers score right off the draw to go up 4-2 by a goal off the faceoff by Fred Modin.  Now the Capitals go to the penalty kill.  Not good.
