Caps sign Perreault and Beagle
The Washington Capitals had three players eligible for arbitration. Two have signed new deals. Mathieu Perreault sign a two year contract extension that will pay him $1 million this coming season and $1.1 million in 2013-14. In addition, the Caps also signed Jay Beagle to a three year contract valued at $2.7 million.
Defenseman Mike Green is the other Caps player eligible for arbitration. No word on any deal with Green. Caps did extend a qualifying offer to Green. Green is coming off an injury plagued season in which he saw ice time in just 32 of 82 games.
