Washington Nationals 19 year old outfielder, Bryce Harper, has made the National League All Star team. Harper will replace Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton.

Harper becomes the youngest player in major league history to reach the All Star game. Harper was chosen to replace Giancarlo by National League manager Tony LaRussa.

On the season, Harper was batting .283 with a .357 on-base percentage, a .479 slugging percentage with 15 doubles, 4 triples, and 8 home runs. Harper began the season at AAA and was called up at the end of April. Harper has become one of the Nats premier threats at the plate for the first place Nationals.
