Nats sign 3 picks, Jordan Zimmerman shines

The Washington Nationals have signed three more draft picks.  The highest pick signed is 3rd rounder SS Rick Hughes.  Also signed are RF Kevin Keyes and LF Randolph Oduber.

1st round pick Bryce Harper and 2nd round pick P Sammy Solis.

Down in Potomac, the Potomac Nationals (A) won 7-4 today.  Nats P Jordan Zimmerman continues his rehab from off-season Tommy John surgery.  Zimmerman started the game for the Nationals and pitched 3 shutout innings, allowing just 1 hit and striking out 5 batters.  Folks, so far, the Zimmerman rehab and recovery is going very well.  Also in that game, highly touted OF prospect Michael Burgess was 4 for 5 and hit his 8th home run.  Burgess raised his batting average to .262.  Burgess is an RBI machine and now has 60 runs batted in for the season, leading the Washington Nationals system
