Strasburg to the 15 day DL

Rookie phenom Stephen Strasburg has been placed on the 15 day disabled list, retroacted to July 22.  Strasburg missed his last start on Tuesday because of tightness in his shoulder during the pre-game bullpen sessions.

MRI and x-Rays showed negative results and the Nationals are confident that 10 days of rest will solve tightness issues.

P Scott Olsen has been activated from the disabled list and will make his first start since May tonight against Atlanta.
