Nats win again, defeat Mets 5-2
The Washington Nationals are playing .500 ball. So what if we are just 6 games into the season, the Washington Nationals are 3-3 and now sit in 4th place above the Mets. Gotta admit, not sure how long this lasts, but looking at baseball standings, it is quite refreshing not looking at Washington in dead last.

The Nats were powered today by the arm and the bat. On the mound, veteran starter Livan Hernandez who tossed 7 shutout innings in his first start. In 7 innings, Livo scattered 5 hist and struck out 1 before yielding to the bullpen. After Brian Bruney allowed a home run in relief, Jason Bergmann recorded an out to yield to new Nats closer
Matt Capps. Capps shut down the Mets, throwing a scoreless 9th inning, striking out 1 batter, and recording his 3rd save.
At the plate, Josh Willing ham hit his first home run of the season, a grand slam, and double din another run, as Willingham drove in all 5 Nationals runs. Willingham (.421) finished 2 for 3 with a home run, double, run scored, and 5 RBIs. Nyjer Morgan also had 2 hits, going 2-4 and scoring a run.
The Nationals have won 3 of their last 4, and took 2 of 3 from the Mets in a 3 game series.
