Senator Jim Bunning, a doddering Republican from Kentucky, was a pretty good Major League Baseball pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds about half a million years ago. He's been out to see Nationals fireballer Stephen Strasburg several times, but now regards the young hurler as a wimp because he missed his last start with arm soreness.
