DISCUSS IT IN OUR MINOR LEAGUE THREAD

Syracuse Chiefs (AAA) fell 4-1 last night.  Shairon Martis (2-4) allowed 7 hits and 3 runs in 6 innings to take the loss.  Colin Balestar, who seems to be making the move to the bullpen, pitched a scoreless inning and record a strikeout.  C Jaime Burke was 2 for 3 with a double and Josh Whitesell knocked in the only Chiefs run.

Harrisburg Senators (AA) won 4-1 behind a strong start from Tom Milone.  Milone pitched 5.2 innings, allowed 1 run on 5 hits and struck out 7.  Cole Kimball continues his seemless bullpen transition, throwing 1.1 scoreless innings and striking out 3.  He has not yielded a run at AA since being promoted three games ago.  Zechery Zinicola earned his 3rdsave throwing a scoreless inning.  Combined between AA and AAA this season, Zinicola is 1-0 with 4 saves and a 2.88 ERA.  Brad Coon was 2 for 4 with an RBI, while Mike Martinez also went 2 for 4.  Martinez is 11 for 30 over his last 6 games.  Tim Pahuta added an RBI double.

Potomac Nationals (A) lost 9-1.  Despite a great start by Adrian Alaniz, who threw 5.2 scoreless innings and recorded 6 strikeouts, the Nationals bullpen got battered.  Justin Phillabaum allowed 4 hits and 2 runs in 1 inning, while Lu Garcia got hammered for 5 hits and 6 runs in just .2 innings.  Robert Jacobsen and Nick Moresi both went 2 for 4.  Jacobsen homered for the second consecutive night.

Hagerstown Suns (A) dropped a 14 inning game 8-7.  Daniel Rosenbaum started for the Sun and pitched 4.2 innings allowing 5 hits and 3 runs, only 1 was earned.  His season ERA is 1.56.  Ron Wort blew the save, getting hit for 4 hits and 2 runs in 2 innings.  Patrick Arnold (1-2) took the loss, pitching 3 innings and lowing 1 run. JP Ramirez was 3 for 6 and hit his 4th homer.  He scored twice and drove in 2 runs.  Chris Higley was 4 for 6 with 2 runs and 2 RBis.
