For DC sports fans, its a double decker day.

The Washington Capitals faceoff against the New York Rangers in their regular season finale. The Caps clinched the eighth and final playoff spot on Friday night with a win over the Florida Panthers. So what is on the line? Two things. First, with a win today and a Florida regulation loss, the Caps could click their fifth consecutive Southeast Division Championship. However, Florida must lose in regulation. The best the Caps can do is take care of their own business. They will do so with Braden Holtby in net, with both Michal Nuevirth and Tomas Vokoun sidelined by injuries. Danny Sabourin was recalled from Hershey to backup Holtby. Sabourin has not played in an NHL game since 2009.

The Washington Nationals take on the Chicago Cubs in their second game of the season. Gio GonZalez takes the m'ind against Matt Garza. Nationals beat the Cubs in the season opener, 2-1.
