Nats minor mentions from last night

We will try and complete this article daily or at least a few times each week, time willing.  Here we will simply provide teh scored and the hot players that night.

Syracuse Chiefs (AAA) lost 12-7  Not a quality pitching night for the Chiefs.  Tyler Moore was 3 for 4 and drove in 3 runs.  He raised his batting average to .296.  Corey Brown homered and went 2 for 6 and drove in 3 runs.

Harrisburg Senators (AA) won 6-2.  Jeff Kobernus, Destin Hood, and and Jesus Valdez each had 3 hits.  Kobernus raised his batting average to .375.  Mike Ballard pitched 6.2 innings and allowed just 1 unearned run.  He struck out 8 batters.

Potomac Nationals (A) won 10-4.  Justin Bloxom was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI.  Adrian Sanchez was 3 for 4 with2 runs and 2 RBI.  Francisco Soriano was 1 for 3 with a triple and 3 RBI.  Paul Applebee pitched 2 more scoreless innings of relief to pick up the win.  He has posted an ERA of 1.35.

Hagerstown Suns (A)won 11-9 in ten innings.  Jason Martinson was 3 for 6 with 3 runs and  RBI.  he raised his batting average to .310.  Matt Skole hit his 2bnd home run and went 2 for 3, raising his batting average to .320.   Adrian Nieto hammered his 2nd home run.  Aaron Barrett pitched 1.1 final scoreless innings, whiffing 3 batter to pick up the win.
