Syracuse Chiefs (AAA)fell 7-0. The Chiefs managed just 5 hits. Shairon Martis pitched 4.2 innings, allowing 8 hits and 3 earned runs. Josh Wilkie pitched 2.1 innings allowing 2 hits and 2 runs.
Harrisburg Senators (AA)won with the dynamic duo. Stephen Strasburg pitched a perfect 5 innings, allowing zero hits or walks, striking out 5, and driving in the game's only run. Senators managed just 2 hits all night. Fellow 2009 first rounder and future Nats closer Drew Storen pitched 2 scoreless innings to earn his 4th save. He allowed 2 hits and recorded 3 strikeouts. Storen lowered his ERA to 0.96.
Potomac Nationals (A)won 7-6 behind the bat of Tim Pahuta. Pahuta was 2 for 4 with a triple, home run, and 4 RBis. 2009 draftee Robert Jacobsen was 3 for 4. Patrick Lehman pitched 5 innings allowing 2 runs on 6 hits and 6 strikeouts. Cole Kimball gave up his first runs of the season, allowing 2 in 1 inning, but still earning his 2nd save.
Hagerstown Suns (A)won 5-0 behind 7 shutout inning from 2008 draftee Jack McGeary. McGeary allowed 2 hits and struck out 3. Sean Nichol was 1 for 2 with 2 RBis. 2008 draftee Destin Hood continues to tear up the plate, going 2for 3 and raising his average to .392.
