Storen to Washington
The Washington Nationals plan to call up the 2009 10th overall draft pick out of Stanford, Drew Storen. Storen was drafted last year to be the future Nats closer.
Storen will be called up tomorrow. He has pitched in 16.1 innings between Harrisburg and Syracuse and has recorded 4 saves and a 1.13 ERA. He has 20 strike outs.
Last year in 28 games, Storen finished with 11 saves and a 1.95 ERA.
UPDATE: As we reported yesterday in our Post, what to do with Bruney, the Nationals have made that decision. Bruney has been designated for assignment. However, at this point, it is unclear if Bruney is willing to go to AAA Syracuse. He at this point said he is not a minor leaguer. Hate to tell you Brian, but major leaguers don't have ERAs over 7.00 and stay in the majors. Your ERA is way over 7.00. Therefore, you are NOT a major leaguer.
