Detwiler to debut this weekend
2007 first round draft pick Ross Detwiler will make his season debut this Sunday against the Milwaukee Brewers. Detwiler was in the Nats rotation last year until his season ended with a hip injury that required offseason surgery.
Detailed has been rehabbing in AA Harrisburg. Detwiler has been impressive. Two nights ago he pitched 7 shutout innings allowing 5 hits and striking out 7 batters. Overall, Detwiler has made 8 rehab starts in the system and has posted a 2-2 record with a 2.27 ERA. In 35.2 innings, Detwiler has struck out 33 batters.
