Nats minor report: Detwiler strikes out 6 for Senators
DISCUSS IN OUR OFFICIAL MINOR LEAGUE THREAD
Syracuse Chiefs (AAA) won yesterday 3-2. Erik Arnesen (1-2) picked up the win throwing 7 innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 run, and 3 strikeouts. He lowered his AAA ERA to 4.79 and overall ERA to 3.47. Chase Lambin was 2-3. Leonard Davis had the big bat for the Chiefs, going 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and knocked inn all Chiefs runs. He not has 3 homers in AAA and 8 combined on the season.
Harrisburg Senators(AA) lost 3-2. Ross Detwiler, after making a rehab appearance in Potomac last week, made another in Harrisburg, pitching 3.2 innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 run, and whiffing 6 batters. My assumption here is, Detwiler will next be in Syracuse. The thing about Detwiler though is rotational room. Where is it in Washington? Once Scott Olsen returns, the only other spot is that of Luis Atilano. The question then becomes, has Atilano does enough to stay in the rotation? Regardless, on to Harrisburg. The steady Zechery Zinicola took the loss allowing the winning win in his one inning. Marvin Lowrance homered, his third of the season. Tim Pahuta went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles.
Potomac Nationals(A) won 3-2. The nationals got a nice start from Jesse Estrada. Estrada pitched 5.1 innings, scattering 5 hits, allowing 1 run and striking out 4. Dan Leatherman continues pitching well out of the Potomac bullpen, picking up his 2ndsave, throwing .2 innings and record 2 strikeouts. His ERA on the season is 2.25. Nick Moresi and Jose Lozada knocked in runs for a quiet Potomac offense.
Hagerstown Suns (A) did not play.
