London Fletcher wins honors
Washington Redskins inside linebacker and team captain London Fletcher won NFC Defensive Player of the Month honors for December, a month when the Redskins won all five games they played and Fletcher compiled 51 tackles, three interceptions and two quarterback sacks. Fletcher was the only NFL player with at least three picks and two sacks last month.
Fletcher finished the regular season with a team-high 139 tackles, a team-high 5 interceptions, three sacks and 11 pass deflections, tied for the best number of his career.
