Nats' Adam LaRoche wins the NL Gold Glove
Washington Nationals first baseman Adam LaRoche has wins the National League Gold Glove at first base. The accolades began to roll in Tuesday night for the Nationals tremendous 2012 season. It is LaRoche's first gold glove of his nine year career. LaRoche finished with a .995 fielding percentage having committed just seven errors in over 1,320 innings.
At the plate, LaRoche batted .270 and led the Nationals with 33 home runs and 100 RBI, one year after missing 2010 with a shoulder injury. LaRoche's glove and bat was instrumental in helping the Nationals to the franchise's first playoff berth and NL East Division crown.
