Brandon Banks makes the final 53 for Redskins
Several sources are now confirming that WR Brandon Banks has made the Redskins roster.
The Redskins have made 16 cuts this far, which means 6 more to go. See the Whole List here.
With some other cuts announced, including LB Bryan Kehl, CB David Jones, and CB Brandyn Thompson, it was appearing more and more likely that Banks would be on the roster. It also likely speaks to the continued influence of special teams coach Danny Smith. Banks had a stellar pre-season in returning kicks and punts, but not a very good one in receiving.
Banks averaged over 25 yards per kick return and over 23 yards per punt return. Sources indicate that Banks made the team after his performance in the Tampa Bay pre-season finale.
