Redskins lose OL Mike Williams for season

The Washington Redskins have just gotten the first real bad news on the offensive line. OG Mike Williams, who was expected to compete for the starting right guard spot with Artis Hicks, instead will miss the entire season due to blood clots.

Apparently the blood clots are near Williams heart.

The Redskins acquired two time Pro Bowl OT Jammal Brown from the Saints and he instantly became the Redskins new starting right tackle. That acquisition moved Artis Hicks inside to compete with Williams at right guard, instantly boosting the Redskins depth on the line. Hick will now likely nail down the right guard spot, but Williams injury has a significant impact on the Redskins offensive line depth, concern that already was pretty significant.
