Redskins Season leadup poll #2: RUNNING BACK
You can still vote in the Leadup Poll #1, Quarterback. We are voting there on who will win the backup role to Donovan Mcnabb between Richard Bartel, Rex Grossman, and John Beck. If you haven't voted, please do so. You can HERE.
Now, as we promised, we plan to hit every single position with a pre-season poll. We plan to do one every few days. Here is the second poll and it focuses on running back. Please feel free to use this thread to engage in discussion on the running back position.
As for this poll, it will focus on who will win the third running back slot, perhaps one of the more hotly contested battles and one that will likely be resolved through pre-season game performance.
Tom is working on an article for Friday's preseason game against Buffalo on what to watch for. No doubt this third running back roster spot will be one of the main discussion points.
The top two spots are locks. Training camp has shown it as well. Clinton Portis and Larry Johnson are the best running back on the roster. Who gets the heaviest workload. yet to be seen, but depth chart purposes, Portis is listed first.
So the fight is on for the third spot. Options are: Willie Parker, Ryan Torian, draft pick Keiland Williams, or a yet to be made acquisition.
