Clinton Portis' war of words had a return volley from former Redskins LB Lavar Arrington, on Arrington's radio sports talk show at the Fan 106.7. Arrington's response probably wasn't what Clinton was thinking it would be.
Lavar's response . . .
"When you go into personal things like that I can only hope and wish and pray he finds peace and clarity in his own life." "You need to holler at me, don't do it through the radio...I know you are better than this." "I think it was low what you did. I will say that."
Arrington also offered to put this aside privately and meet with Clinton. Very classy Lavar, very classy. Thanks from DCPSR for not escalating what would just be more bad publicity for the Redskins. As our good friend @john_keim points out, this is Portis' third run in with ex-Redskins, the first two being John Riggins and Brian Mitchell. Who's next?
A suggestion for Clinton. Concentrate on running the football.
