Redskins interested in WR Vincent Jackson?
DISCUSS IT IN OUR REDSKINS FORUM
Via CsnWashington Twitter, the Redskins have reportedly made an inquiry to the San Diego Chargers regarding disgruntled WR Vincent Jackson.
At this point, the only news out there is that an inquiry has possibly been made. There are no details regarding what the Redskins would be willing to part with to acquire Jackson.
From a shoot off the hip standpoint, this makes total sense. When you look at the Redskins offense, clearly the front office has taken significant steps to address the offensive line with the acquisitions of Artis Hicks, Jammal Brown, and the drafting of Trent Williams. But clearly, given the fact they continue to bring in veteran wide receivers evidences the point Mike Shanahan is not comfortable with receiver. Rightfully so.
Santana Moss is the top receiver, but at this point, he is arguably a second receiver. The Redskins clearly lack a clear number one receiver and have the past two seasons. Words out of OTAs have not been exactly reassuring on Malcolm Kelly and Devin Thomas.
The question remains, just what the Redskins would be willing to part with to acquire Jackson.
