NFL Uphold Touchdown Call from last night

The National Football League has upheld the controversial touchdown call in last night's Green Bay versus Seattle game.  The call was clearly wrong.  However, what choice did the NFL really have?  There is no precedence to overturn a game decsion, and if they did, what would that do for whatever remaining weeks remain with these replacement referees?

Fact is, we really do not have an accurate estimate of how far apart in money and other terms the NFL Owners and Referess are to resolving the labor dispute.  There is no doubt, in terms of publicity, the NFL Referess have clearly won the PR battle.  They can thank the replacement refs for that.  The Owners look like idiots.

The deeper this goes into the regular season the more likely, in fans eyes, the season will need an Asterik.  It is not just the bad calls.  It is the lack of understanding of rules.  Failure to spot footballs correctly.  Failure to put time off and on the clock correctly.  Missed calls.  Bad calls.  And on, and on, and on.  The 2012 season is quickly becomign marred beyond repair and the NFL Owenrs will have to deal with the backlash.  The NFL Owners are doing nothing more than completely undermining the integrity of the game itself.
