Redskins are in First Place in NFC East
The Washington Redskins, behind rookie fourth round pick Kirk Cousins, routed the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland, 38-21. That win, combined with an Atlanta Falcons 34-0 spanking of the New York Giants, moves the Redskins into a tie for first place in the NFC East. The Redskins improve to 8-6 in a tie with the 8-6 Giants.
The Redskins now have the edge in the NFC East. They sit in first place with a 3-1 NFC East record while the Giants are 2-3. Cowboys are currently 7-6, but even if they win this afternoon against Pittsburgh, they have two division losses.
Cousins, playing for the injured Robert Griffin III, threw for over 329 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Redskins to the top of the division.
YOUR Washington Redskins are in first place. Been a long time folks!
