Redskins reach out to Cooley

The Washington Redskins have reached out to former Redskins tight end and fan favorite Chris Cooley.  According to multiple sources, a deal is expected to be finalized soon.  

Redskins lost starting TE Fred Davis for the season today with an Achilles tear.  Cooley makes sense because he knows the Redskins offense, is in the area, us a fan favorite, and knows the team.  However, I still hope Cooley will be used as depth.  I woud Iike to see the Redskins continue to give Logan Paulsen the dance.  He us an excellent blocker and has great hands.
