Redskins Roundup: They're back!

DISCUSS THIS IN OUR REDSKINS FAN FORUM!

The NFL lockout of the referees is over! The scabs go home and the real refs return for week 4. Halle-freaking-lujah! The Redskins are pretty happy about it, too.

INJURY UPDATE: LT Trent Williams didn't practice Wednesday and he remains in doubt for Sunday. Same for CB Cedric Griffin. SS Brandon Meriweather and WR Pierre Garcon were limited in practice and it isn't known if they will play either. Ditto for TB Evan Royster

TB Roy Helu, who has battled turf toe-related injuries since the preseason, was placed on injured reserve. Now we know why Ryan Grant was signed. For Grant, it's a return to the sort of zone blocking scheme he played in in Green Bay. The team called former starter Tim Hightower, who was cut in the preseason after failing to sufficiently recover from his catastrophic knee injury last season. Unfortunately, Hightower re-injured his knee during his rehab and isn't in a condition to play football right now.

The fantasy footbll world has taken notice of TB Alfred Morris.

Here's a bit of good news: The Redskins' defensive backs know they suck right now and they want to stop sucking so badly so the team will win more games. Hooray!

Redskins QB Robert Griffin is taking responsibility for the number of hits he's taking and for cutting down on that number. Part of the issue is that RG3 is so good on those option fakes that he's taking more hits because of it. Apparently, the solution is not to fake so well

The hits on RG3 got so bad that he underwent a concussion test on the sideline during the Cincy game. He passed.

Dan Daly writes that balancing production against the threat of injury will be a balancing act for the Redskins with RG3, as it is for the Nationals with ace pitcher Stephen Strasburg

Mike Jones draws your attention to Josh Freeman, the inconsistent QB of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Considering the secondary he's facing on Sunday, we have to assume Freeman will look pretty good against the Redskins.

John Keim's studs and duds on offense is hard on tackles, but good to RG3, Fred Davis, Brandon Banks and Kory Lichtensteiger
