Smoke Signals: McNabb wants to stay

It's a big umbrella day in the D.C. area and that rain has forced the Redskins to postpone their morning practice until 2 PM. The team's final two-a-day is supposed to be today.
It's been a weird offseason for CB Carlos Rogers. Thought to be leaving the team, he demanded a long-term offer or a trade. He got neither, but showed up to work anyway and appears to be having a great training camp. Right now, he looks like the strongest part of the secondary.
Some significant organizational changes seem to be a big part of the reason Rogers is happier.
's contract runs out after this season and the NFL is staring down the barrel of a lockout [damn greedy owners!] in 2011. Nevertheless, McNabb says he's not leaving D.C. any time soon. Speaking of him, former Redskins TB [and 2002 2nd round draft pick] Ladell Betts has signed with the New Orleans Saints. He should win quite a few games with that team.Another ex-Redskin, former Head Coach Jim Zorn [now QB coach for this Saturday's opponent Baltimore Ravens] says he bears no ill will against the Redskins. Wish I could say that all Redskins fans are so forgiving, Jimbo.
