Reports: Garcon won't play tomorrow for Redskins

According to several reports now, Washington Redskins leading receiver Pierre Garcon will not play tomorrow.  Garcon was hurt in the first half of the Redskins win over the Saints last week and did not return in the second half.   Garcon did niot practice all week for the Redskins.

With Garcon likely out, WR Dezmon Briscoe may be on the active roster this week.  After the Garcon injury last week, second year Wide Receiver Aldrick Robisnon unexpectedly stepped up for the Redskisn, catching  4 passes for 52 yards and a TD.  The Redskins will hope Robinson will continue to step up that role with Garcon out.  Redskins have also been patiently awaiting Leonard Hankerson.  Coming into training camp, Hankerson was thought to be the front runner for the second wide receiver slot opposite Garcon.  However, Hankerson has been inconsistent, has dropped passes, and has not been overly effective at getting open.  The Redskins will also turn to veterans Josh Morgana nd Santana Moss for production from Robert Griffin III.
