In recognition for his superb performance last Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, Redskins QB Robert Griffin III was named NFL Rookie of the Week for week 11. The Redskins crushed the Eagles 31-6 to improve their record to 4-6 and drop the Eagles to 3-7 and in the basement of the NFC East.

Griffin was virtually flawless against the Eagles, completing 14 of 15 passes for 200 yards and four TD passes and rushing for 84 yards. He had a perfect 158.3 passer rating for the game. Note that this does not apply to RG3's fantastic performance against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day, in which he led the Redskins to a 38-31 win, improving Washington's record to 5-6 and putting them in second place in the division. Griffin will almost surely be a finalist for the NFL Rookie of the Week honors for week 12

The week 11 win for Griffin is the fourth time he has won Rookie of the Week this season. Colts QB Andrew Luck, who was drafted first overall in 2012, has won the award three times.
