Redskins QB Robert Griffin III has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week, becoming the first rookie QB in NFL history to win that award twice. Griffin won it for his superb performance last Sunday in Washington's 31-6 rout of the Philadelphia Eagles, in which RG3 completed 14 of 15 passes for 200 yards, 4 TD passes and ran 12 times for another 84 yards.

Only Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has won the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award twice this season. Patriots QB Tom Brady has won the AFC equivalent twice this year and Bears CB Charles Tillman has won the NFC Defensive Player of the Week award twice this season.

No Redskins player has won the award twice in one year since WR Santana Moss back in 2005 and before Griffin, the last Redskins QB to win the award was Brad Johnson back in 1999. That's a different century, folks. That's how much RG3 has changed the Redskins.
