Blatche enjoys beating Garnett

Andray Blatche [31 points, 11 rebounds] talks about out-playing Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics en route to a 106-96 win in Boston. Blatche repeatedly mentions  respecting his coach [Flip Saunders], but ignoring the taunts of Garnett and just playing his game. You will recall that earlier this season the Wizards blew a 13-point lead against the Celtics and Blatche drew the ire of his coach by letting Garnett's taunts get under his skin during Boston's furious comeback. This time, Blatche got his revenge but not only outplaying Garnett again, but also by refusing to allow KG to bother him with his insults and chatter.

The other thing Blatche repeatedly mentions is his trust in PG Shaun Livingston. As the Celtics mounted another 4th quarter comeback in this game, Blatche admits he became nervous, but ultimately trusted that Livingston [25 points, 7 dimes, 6 boards] would control the ball and ensure a Wizards victory. It hasn't taken Livingston long to not only earn the trust of his best teammate, but to also become a leader -- someone the other players regard as a clutch performer. Watch...
