-Tonight's game is the first of two meetings between the Washington Wizards and Portland Trail Blazers. The two teams split last season’s series at one game apiece. The Wizards and Trail Blazers will meet again on March 10th in Washington.

-Last game versus Detroit...The Wizards defeated the Detroit Pistons, 98-77, on February 12th at The Palace of Auburn Hills...JaVale McGee scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds...Nick Young scored 22 points on 8-of-13 from the field...John Wall scored nine points and dished out a career-high tying 15 assists...Jan Vesely tallied 10 points, eight rebounds, three blocks, two assists and two blocks...Rashard Lewis added 10 points.

-Rashard Lewis reached the 15,000 career point plateau in Washington’s last game at Detroit (2/12). Lewis joins Paul Pierce and Jason Kidd as the only players in NBA history who have scored at least 15,000 points, grabbed 5,000 rebounds and hit 1,500 three-pointers in their careers.

-JaVale McGee has recorded consecutive games with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds (24 points, 13 rebounds vs. Miami (2/10), 22 points, 11 rebounds at DET (2/12). This marks the second time in his career he has accomplished this feat. McGee had 20 points and 16 rebounds at Detroit on November 21, 2010 and 24 points and 18 rebounds versus Philadelphia on November 23, 2010.

-John Wall is averaging 18.8 points and 8.2 assists in his last six games. Wall is shooting .512 percent (41-of-81) from the field in his last six games.

-Wall averaged 25.0 points, 9.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds in two games versus Detroit last season.

-Trevor Booker is averaging 12.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in his last six games. Booker is shooting .559 percent from the field during this stretch.

-JaVale McGee is 25 points shy of 2,000 career points.

-The Wizards held the Pistons to opponent lows in field goal percentage (.328), points in the fourth quarter (14), points in the second half (32) and three-pointers made (1).

-Washington’s 21 points road victory over Detroit (2/12) represents their largest road victory since December 2, 2008. The Wizards defeated the Nets in New Jersey, 108-88.

-Wizards-Trail Blazers connections...Trail Blazers assistant coach Bernie Bickerstaff was the Washington Bullets/Wizards Head Coach for the final 35 games of the 1996-97 season through the first 32 games of the 1998-99 season… Wizards center JaVale McGee and Trail Blazers guard Armon Johnson played together at Nevada in 2007-2008…Wizards guard Roger Mason and Trail Blazers forward Kurt Thomas were teammates on the San Antonio Spurs in 2008-2009…Trail Blazers guard Jamal Crawford was teammates with Wizards forward Ronny Turiaf on the Golden State Warriors (2008-2009) as well as with Wizards guard Maurice Evans on the Hawks (2009-2011).
