Speeding Bullets: Bouncing back or flipping out?

Written by Thomas Threlkeld on . Posted in Washington Wizards

You know that Wizards head coach Flip Saunders flipped out over his team's 1-4 record and complaints during practice on Monday. He kicked his players out of practice and told them to come back later in the day -- and to do it right. This naturally creates questions. Questions like:

1. Does Flip know there are 77 more games this season and at this rate he'll have murdered have his squad by the All Star break?;

2. Why aren't any of the so-called team leaders -- John Wall, Gilbert Arenas, Kirk Hinrich, Andray Blatche -- keeping teammates focused?

The Wizards are terrible. They have a 1-4 record and they somehow managed to lose [at home!] to a Cleveland Cavaliers team that not only doesn't have Lebron James anymore, they didn't even have Antawn Jamison. The Wizards are the worst rebounding team in the NBA and one of the worst defensive teams, too. Are extra practices going to fix these things?

Saunders seems temporarily placated with the results of practices since he flipped out.
