Wizards cut Morrison, Marks
The Washington Wizards cut QF Adam Morrison and PF Sean Marks today. Morrison, the 3rd overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft, has been a huge disappointment in the NBA, incapable of hitting shots the way he did in college and a massive liability on defense and the glass. The Wizards are thin at quick forward, with Josh Howard injured and the other options, such as Al Thornton, unproven. Sean Marks is a journeyman big man who played with the New Orleans Hornets the last two seasons. He's been a marginal player his entire career, never averaging more than 4.6 points per game.
The Wizards currently have 13 players on the roster now that they have finished with their 3-4 preseason. The roster looks like this:
| PLAYER | POSITION |
| John Wall | Point Guard |
| Kirk Hinrich | Combo Guard |
| Gilbert Arenas | Combo Guard |
| Nick Young | Shooting Guard |
| Al Thornton | Quick Forward |
| Yi Jianlian | Combo Forward |
| Josh Howard * | Quick Forward |
| Trevor Booker | Combo Forward |
| Kevin Seraphin | Power Forward |
| Hilton Armstrong | Forward-Center |
| Andray Blatche | Power Forward |
| Hamady N'diaye | Center |
| Javale McGee | Center |
* Injured and unavailable until late November/early December.
