The Washington Wizards fell to the Philadelphia 76ers 103-78 tonight at the Verizon Center. Andray Blatche led all scorers with 18 points in the preseason opener for both teams.

John Wall struggled for the Wizards with eight points on 3-12 shooting. Wall also turned the ball over six times.

The Wizards top draft choice, forward Jan Vesely, showed the athleticism that scouts have been drooling about. Vesely ended up with seven points and three rebounds.

Philadelphia returns the favor, hosting the Wizards on Tuesday night, as both teams wrap up a very abbreviated exhibition season.

Washington hosts New Jersey in the regular season openerĀ on Monday, December 26th at the Verizon Center.
