DISCUSS THE WIZARDS PICK IN OUR WIZARDS FORUM

The NBA Mock Draft Database is heating up with 64 total mocks drafts listed and 22 updated in the month of May. We are now updating the NBA Database a few times per week. Our NBA Mock Draft Database is modeled after our NFL Mock Draft Database, the original mock draft database to appear on the web 12 years ago. The NBA Mock Database is now in its 7th season.

The NBA Draft is now set with last week's NBA Draft Lottery.  Of course, the big winners were the Cleveland Cavaliers, ending up with the 1st and 4th overall picks in the Draft.  With the Lottery setting the draft slots, we also saw a big increase in NBA mock drafts.  The NBA Mock Draft Database now lists a total of 85 NBA mocks for the NBA Draft.

We may add another pick or two as the NBA Draft approaches. For now, we munched all mock drafts that have been updated since the NBA Draft Lottery, meaning, mock drafts dated from May 17th through today.  All together, we munched a total of 55 mock drafts to bring you your Top 7 leaders, as guessed by mock draft writers.  The Top 2 picks, at least according to NBA mock writers, are pretty much set.  Out of the 55 mock drafts updated since the Lottery, only 1 mock draft did not choose Kyrie Irving to be the top overall pick.   Here are your top 76 leaders with percentage of mocks making that projection and change from last weeks mock munch.

Here are your top 7 leadersPICK PLAYER % OF MOCKS CHG in %
Cavs Kyrie Irving 96% + 26%
TWolves Derrick Williams 76% + 6%
Jazz Brandon Knight 47% NEW
Cavs Enes Kanter 38% NEW
Raptors Jonas Valancuinas 31% NEW
Wizards Jan Vesely 40% NEW
Kings Kemba Walker 25% NEW
Asa a DC sports site, you can see, the Washington Wizards are now favored to take Jan Vesely by 40% of the 55 most updated mocks.  Wizards need size and some inside presence.  Bismark Biyombo or Tristan Thompson may be an attractive option here as well.  Kawhi Leonard and Jonas Valanciunas are other mentioned options by mock drafts.  Leonard is the second favorite for the Wizards among mock writers with 13 of the 55 mocks projecting the 6'7" strong forward to the Wiz.  Valanciunas and Biyombo each garner 5 mocks.
