Wizards Drop Preseason Opener
The Wizards tipped off their preseason in Charlotte with a 100-88 loss to the Bobcats. Rookie Bradley Beal and free agent acquisition Martell Webster led Washington with 18 points apiece.
The Wizards played without three projected starters with John Wall, Nene and Emeka Okafor all sidelined.
Gerald Henderson led the Bobcats with 19 points.
Washington hosts the New York Knicks on Thursday, then leave home again with four consecutive road contests next week.
